The Hunger Games tells the story of a 16-year-old girl named Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) who lives in a place called District 12, where the majority of the population working as a miner. District 12 is the last district, one of 12 districts in the country called Panem. Panem itself is a country which was once North America once was, that after a major disaster on Earth is the only region that survived. Since the failed uprising against the government of Panem 75 years earlier, the government of Panem lantass perform a deadly competition that was held in the capital city called the Capitol.
The competition called The Hunger Games, which is followed by a pair of young people aged between 12-18 years old and were selected from 12 districts in Panem. The competition has been conducted for 74 consecutive years. Katniss is a typical person who has a natural appeal.
