The Cold Light of Day itself tells about Will Shaw (Cavill), a young entrepreneur who was forced to follow holiday held by his family in Spain. Shit, when he got in Spain, Will got the news that his company went bankrupt, which in turn make him not want to be around her family. Will a bad attitude obviously made his father, Martin (Willis), exasperated. Away from his father and tried to cool down the heat of temper, Will then choose to keep him for a while by going to the city. And the main conflict begins when Will returned to his family, he could not find a single person.
Panic, Will then report the incident to local police. Instead of security assistance, Will it be the target of the police. Fortunate then his father suddenly came to the rescue Will. In his confession, Martin later revealed that he is actually an undercover agent of the U.S. government is being targeted by terrorist groups which have now been holding his family.
